Team Edition (TE) Handmade tubular with sealed corespun cotton carcass
Handcrafted tires combine a multitude of outstanding properties to offer the highest level of comfort and the lowest possible rolling resistance. Carefully selected materials are used in the various tire levels depending on the usage. Soft, supple carcasses adapt quickly to the shape of the ground when rolling and when cornering. This increases ground contact and grip and improves shock absorption on poor road surfaces. Soft, natural rubber profiles are combined with light, flexible puncture protection.
Corespun cotton carcasses are manufactured for the Servizio Corse Series (Track, TT, Tri & Road) and Team Edition Series (Cross) tires. Cotton - like your favorite shirt - is naturally softer and smoother than a cheap polyester shirt and needs to be handled more carefully. Cotton, if not properly washed and dried, is more likely to absorb water, stains, mold and rot than more durable polyester or more expensive silk. That is why cotton benefits greatly from the Carcass Sealing Challenge. It makes cotton the ideal carcass material for professional athletes, as it offers an ideal price-performance ratio.
Handmade natural rubber - hardness soft
Challenge's handcrafted natural rubber profiles are formulated to provide the perfect level of durability without compromising performance, comfort and control. Challenge tires wear out 10-20% faster than those of the competition, but score with significantly improved performance and a noticeably better driving experience throughout their service life. Depending on the requirements, the tires are equipped with rubber compounds of different softness.

Puncture Protection System (PPS)
The PPS (Puncture Protection System) consists of one or more layers of fabric between the tread and the tire carcass. PPS significantly increases the tire's resistance to punctures and thus offers maximum reliability.
