The Fun Works Turbo is fast, durable, stable, and designed for a wide range of applications.

The goal was to develop a hub that is lightweight enough for gravel bikes while also robust enough for freeride bikes, and that allows for high speeds. Whether you are tackling steep climbs or navigating challenging, rocky paths, the Turbo hubs are designed to meet the individual style and needs of every rider.

Reinforced Hub Body

The hub body is first forged for greater stiffness and durability, then CNC-machined. The hub flanges have been reinforced and inclined inward. This adjustment aligns the flange with the spoke angle. In a double-crossed lacing pattern, the spokes are arranged on the outside of the flange and are not bent over the flange as much as they would be with straight flanges. This significantly minimizes any "settling" of the spokes, thus reducing the stresses on the flange.

Increased Bearing Lifespan

The Turbo hubs feature an increased bearing spacing and improved stiffness. The extended bearing distance stabilizes the axle, reduces its deflection, and consequently protects the bearings, extending their lifespan.

Maximum Reliability

The CSPS (Coil Spring Pawl System) offers outstanding reliability. The freewheel employs six robust, oversized pawls with a diameter of 5 mm, which are pushed outward by coil springs to create optimal contact pressure with the ratchet ring. The reinforced ratchet ring is designed to withstand high pressures

and provide a long service life.

Faster Engagement of the Pawls and Reduced Wear

The freewheel with 6 staggered pawls ensures that 3 pawls are engaged at the same time.

This provides a total of 96 engagement points, ensuring optimal power and speed transfer while riding.

The resulting minimal engagement angle of just 3.75 degrees offers the perfect balance between responsiveness and low friction, leading to a turbo-quick acceleration.

Integrated Notch in the End Caps

The newly designed end caps feature an integrated notch that significantly simplifies disassembly

and maintenance of the hubs.

Easy Compatibility with Various Axle and Freewheel Systems

The end caps and freewheel can be easily replaced without special tools,

simply by pulling them off, providing high compatibility with various axle and freewheel systems.
