The bike GPS Tracker Shimano is especially suitable for the installation in e-bikes with Shimano Steps drive. During the development of the GPS Tracker Shimano we considered the special requirements and safety requirements of Shimano Steps e-bikes. Thus the error-free and safe operation of the GPS tracker is absolutely guaranteed.
Note on availability: BikeTrax for E-Bikes is currently compatible with the following Shimano Steps models: Steps E5000, Steps E6100, Steps E6110 and Steps E7000. We are working hard to make our GPS theft protection also available for Shimano Steps8000.
Mounting instructions: Detailed mounting instructions are included with your GPS tracker order. This is done for safety reasons to limit the widespread use of technical methods for potential bike thieves. The data transfer for the GPS Tracker Shimano is free in the 1st year - in all countries of the European Union.
The GPS Tracker is integrated with the integrated SIM card into the EU-wide data network. This means that you can view the location coordinates of your e-bike at any time in the entire EU*. In the event of theft or unauthorised use, the GPS system becomes active and immediately sends an alarm to your smartphone. No matter in which EU country you are.
The transmission of GPS data is realized via GPRS and GSM. For the first year BikeTrax takes over the fees for the data transfer. After the end of the first free year the costs for the data transfer amount to 3.95€ per month. There is no contract connection.
Besides the data use can be activated also monthly comfortably over the free Smartphone App. So if you only want to use the GPS Tracker Bosch during the summer months, you can do so with a simple fingerwipe.

Installation of the GPS Tracker Shimano
Normally the GPS Tracker is connected to the battery of your e-bike to provide the power supply. When the e-bike battery is turned off or removed, the GPS Tracker battery pack will continue to provide the necessary power for monitoring.
The maximum battery life is 14 hours for active GPS tracking and up to 3 weeks for stand-by mode. The additional battery is recharged immediately after switching on your e-bike. It takes about 1.5 hours to charge from 0 to 100%.
GPS Tracker Web Platform
On the GPS web platform you can comfortably control and monitor the GPS tracking via PC or laptop or notebook. You receive all information about the location of your e-bike in real time and can view the routes you have taken.
Here are the special advantages for fleet operators who can actively monitor many vehicles or e-bikes with the desktop application. The recorded routes thus allow detailed route management and optimal vehicle utilization for vehicle fleets of all kinds.
