Features
Pro Handmade Tubeless Ready with Superpoly casing
Handcrafted tires combine a multitude of outstanding properties to offer the highest level of comfort and the lowest possible rolling resistance. Carefully selected materials are used in the various tire levels depending on the usage. Soft, supple carcasses adapt quickly to the shape of the ground when rolling and when cornering. This increases ground contact and grip and improves shock absorption on poor road surfaces. Soft, natural rubber profiles are combined with light, flexible puncture protection.
Tubeless ready
Polyester is the cheapest of all handcrafted carcasses. It is a synthetic material that is very strong and impermeable to water and offers considerably more flexibility and durability than comparable nylon materials. Challenge uses high quality polyester or SuperPoly (polyester with a higher TPI number) to produce cost-effective pro-level tires.
Handmade natural rubber - hardness SMARTplus
Challenge's handcrafted natural rubber profiles are formulated to provide the perfect level of durability without compromising performance, comfort and control. Challenge tires wear out 10-20% faster than those of the competition, but score with significantly improved performance and a noticeably better driving experience throughout their service life. Depending on the requirements, the tires are equipped with rubber compounds of different softness.
The SMARTplus Compound is a somewhat harder natural rubber compound specially designed for high mileage. The formulation effectively reduces wear and tear, making the tire even more resistant and durable.
Ganzo & PPS2
Some tires that are designed for use on rough roads, cobblestones and gravel are equipped with the PPS2 (Puncture Protection System 2). In addition to the normal PPS protective layer between the tread and the carcass, they offer unrivaled puncture protection thanks to an additional PPS fabric layer between the carcass and tube.
The Ganzo Puncture Protection System is a highly flexible, even more tightly woven, multi-component puncture protection that is incorporated between the tread and the carcass. The Ganzo PPS makes the tire lighter, even more puncture-proof and preserves the smooth, comfortable character of Challenge tires.
